The Department of Anatomy was established along with the Faculty of Veterinary Science in year 1954 under the Kasetsart University Act No.5, enacted on December 20, 1954 and the announcement in the Government Gazette, Edition 71, Chapter 8, on December 28, 1954. Professor DVM. Chak Pichaironnarongsongkram was the first department head. Until present, the department has provided knowledge in the anatomical courses, for instance, the macroscopic veterinary anatomy, microscopic veterinary anatomy and embryology for undergraduate veterinary students and Master of Science Program in Veterinary Anatomy Science was also available to create graduate personnel with knowledge and competency in related anatomy and biological sciences as well. The mission of the Department of Anatomy is based on the motto "Aim for quality, emphasize morality, lead in academics".

The Department of Physiology was established along with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the year 1954 under the Kasetsart University Act No. 5, enacted on December 20, 1954 and announced in the Government Gazette, Edition 71, Chapter 86, on 28 December 1954. With the responsibility of teaching at the bachelor level from the book of Veterinary Medicine Memorial published in 1953, jointly written by Professor Thim Phansiri and Professor Piya Aranayakanon. This book is about the education in Veterinary Medicine, used for the academic in Thailand before 1937. The military has launched the training for the veterinary operations of the Army, especially the training for the civilian for civil service in their units as necessary to prevent and suppress animal epidemics.

The Department of Pharmacology is an organization under the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Kasetsart University. The Faculty of Veterinary Science established in Kasetsart University is the fifth faculty of Kasetsart University transferred from the University of Medicine Under the Ministry of Public Health in the year 1954 under the Kasetsart University Act (No. 5) B.E. 2497 (enacted on December 20th and announced in the Government Gazette, Edition 71, Chapter 86 on December 28, 1954) and in 1970, it was transferred to the building on Phahonyothin Road near the National Research Council. The original department was located on the 3rd floor of the Chakpichainarongsongkram building, and in 1995, it was relocated to the 5th floor of the academic and operation building in the Faculty of Veterinary Science with classrooms shared together with the Department of Physiology on the 4th floor of the academic and operating building in the Faculty of Veterinary Science.

The Department of Pathology was established at the same time with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Kasetsart University in 1954 under the Kasetsart University Act No. 5, enacted on December 20, 1954 and announced in the Government Gazette, Edition 71, Chapter 86 on December 28, 1954, divided into three departments: Department of Parasitology, Parasitology and Microbiology. Later in the year 1996, the status of parasitology and microbiology were separated into Department of Parasitology and Department of Microbiology and Immunology, respectively (The Government Gazette, General Issue, Edition 113, Section 11 Ngor, dated on 6th February 1996).

Department of Parasitology Faculty of Veterinary Science was originally a department of the pathology department, established at the same time with the Faculty of Veterinary Science. In 1997, the Department of Parasitology was separated from the Department of Pathology and was established as the Department of Parasitology as announced in the Government Gazette General Announcement, Edition 113, Section 11 Ngor, dated on 6th February 1996. The philosophy of the department is "Excellent research, gather for the academy, serve the society.". Department of Companion Animals Clinical Sciences is a department established from the change in the clinical department structure of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine ,Kasetsart University according to the Government Gazette, Edition 120, dated 25 December 2003, with the approval of the Board of Veterinary Committee Meeting No. 1/2546 on January 24, 2003, as announced in the Government Gazette, page 22, Edition 120, special section 147, dated on 25 December 2003 and on 2 June 2003, a letter No. TM. 0411.01 / 1594 dated 3 June 2003 was issued implementing the change of personnel to comply with the main mission which is teaching and academic aervices according to the type of animal, matching the expertise of the personnel and improve the curriculum to maximize benefits for veterinary students. Currently, the Department of Clinical Pet Medicine is responsible for teaching in the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine Program (RTE) under the revised curriculum 2004 of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine ,Kasetsart University and responsible for the graduate diploma program in Pet Disease Faculty, which has been approved by the Kasetsart University Council at the meeting no. 1/2002, held on 28 January 2002 and received acknowledgment of the course opening from the Ministry of University Affairs on 2 October 2002 and began enrolling students since the academic year 2006 and the course has been terminated.

Department of Large Animal and Wildlife Clinical science, formerly Department of Internal Medicine, was established in the same time as the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1954 under the Kasetsart University Act No. 5, enacted on 20 December 1954 and announced in the Government Gazette, Edition 71, Section 86 on 28 December 1954, is responsible for the provision of education in veterinary medicine. The bachelor’s degree level in Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (DSS) was provided. The initial phase is a 5-year program, which later was changed to 6 years in 1957. The Department of Medicine has developed the class contents in accordance with the curriculum year 1977, year 1989, year 1995, year 2002, and year 2013. Currently, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has changed 4 clinical departments under the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to comply with the mission of teaching and learning and academic services according to the type of animal, matching the expertise of the personnel and improve the curriculum to be more conveniently with the approval of the committee meeting of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the meeting No. 1/2546 on 24 January 2003, determining all 4 departments to be rearranged in line with the change of the department's name: The Department of Internal Medicine is the Department of Large Animal and Wildlife Clinical science, announced in the Government Gazette, page 22, Edition 120, special section 147 Ngor, on 25 December 2003, and a notice of moving personnel changes under the new department has also been issued since the 2 June 2003 onwards, according to the letter TM 0411.01 / 1594 dated on 3 June 2003.

Department of Farm Resources and Production Medicine is a department established from the change in the clinical department structure of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine according to the Government Gazette, Edition 120, dated 25 December 2003, which was a change from the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, established on 2 February 1983 and was effective under the Kasetsart University Act No. 20, announced in the Government Gazette, Edition 101 on 7 February 1984, with the responsibility of providing educational management in Veterinary Medicine by offering a bachelor's degree program for Bachelor in Veterinary Science Program (VSP). Currently, the curriculum of 1995 and Bachelor of Veterinary Science Program of 2004 are applied. Current, the Faculty of Veterinary Science has changed 4 clinical departments under the Faculty of Veterinary Science to comply with the mission of teaching and learning and academic services according to the type of animal, matching the expertise of the personnel and improve the curriculum to be more convenient with the approval of the committee meeting of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the meeting no. 1/2003, on 24 January 2003, which had ordered the rearrangement of personnel from all 4 departments to be in accordance with the department name change from the original version “Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology” to the “Department of Animal Medicine and Animal Production Resources”, announced by the Government Gazette, page 22, Edition 120, special section 147 Ngor, 25 December 2003 and a notification of the personnel transfer was issued to the new department from 2 June 2003 onwards, according to the letter from Bangkok Office 0411.01 / 1594, dated 3 June 2003.

Department of Veterinary Public Health and Diagnostic Services was established in 1996 according to Kasetsart University Act, announced in the Government Gazette under the General Announcement, Edition 113, Section 11 Ngor, on 6 February 1996, separated from the previous department of Veterinary Public Health Sciences under Department of Internal Medicine to the department of Veterinary Public Health Sciences. In the present, the name was changed to the Department of Veterinary Public Health Sciences, responsible for providing education in veterinary medicine by offering the bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Veterinary Science Program (VSP), revised edition of 2004. Currently, the department offers graduate programs, Master of Science Program in Veterinary Epidemiology and plans to offer the graduate programs in the Tropical Epidemiology (International Program) and the Master of Veterinary Public Health Program.
