Applicant selection considers not only academic performance but also an assessment of each applicant’s potential and personal qualities through an interview — a key step in identifying those well suited to the veterinary profession. The Faculty designs a variety of interview formats appropriate to each admission round and program.
Traditional Interview
A conversation with a single interviewer or an interview panel, using questions on various topics to assess understanding of the profession, attitudes, communication ability, and personal qualities.
Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI)
A rotating, multi-station interview in which each station takes about 6–8 minutes and presents a different question or scenario, aiming to assess a range of skills such as analytical thinking, communication, empathy, social skills, and ethical decision-making.
Note: Interview formats may vary from year to year depending on the type of program and the context at the time.
