Ph.D. in Animal Health and Biomedical Sciences

Program Overview

The Ph.D. program in Animal Health and Biomedical Sciences focuses on producing doctoral graduates with profound expertise in animal health and the integration of biomedical sciences. Our mission is to transform advanced knowledge into social and economic benefits through research, innovation, and knowledge dissemination. We aim to drive academic progress in disease management and biotechnological development for sustainable animal production and conservation, while building robust research networks to address national health challenges.

Program Objectives

  1. Research & Innovation Excellence: To develop doctoral graduates with high potential in research and the application of biotechnology. Our graduates are equipped with theoretical and practical skills in analysis and synthesis, guided by strong moral and ethical standards, to produce international-standard work that benefits the health of people, animals, and the environment.
  2. Interdisciplinary Integration: To foster networks that integrate core disciplines—including Anatomy, Physiology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Toxicology, Pathology, Parasitology, and Molecular Genetics—with advanced health sciences such as Epidemiology, Immunology, Clinical Medicine, and Preventive Medicine.

Admission Requirements (Plan 1.1 and 1.2)

  • Education: A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Science or a related field.
  • Language Proficiency: English test scores must meet the criteria established by Kasetsart University.
  • General Qualifications:
    • Must possess good conduct with no record of serious misconduct.
    • Must not have any mental health conditions or infectious diseases that impede the course of study.
    • Must not have been previously dismissed from any educational institution due to disciplinary action.
  • Other Regulations: As established by the University's admission policies.
